A Brief Overview
The AVP, Finance Decision Support is a strategic finance leader responsible for driving enterprise-wide financial planning, analysis, and decision support for multiple areas within a business function. This role partners with executive leadership to shape financial strategy, optimize performance, and guide long-term planning across multiple business units. The position leads a high-performing team, oversees complex financial modeling and forecasting, and ensures alignment between financial goals and operational execution. As a key advisor to functional VPs and senior stakeholders, this role translates financial insights into strategic actions that influence company direction and growth.
What you will do
Strategic Financial Leadership
• Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Partner with C-suite and functional EVP, SVPs, and VPs to develop financial strategies that support business objectives.
• Deliver executive-level insights through P&L reviews, variance analysis, and strategic scenario modeling.
• Influence capital allocation decisions, investment prioritization, and resource optimization.Decision Support & Business Partnership
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing proactive financial guidance and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure financial alignment with operational goals.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Promote collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the FP&A function.
• Champion diversity of thought and build bench strength for future leadership.Process Optimization & Systems
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, and data visualization capabilities.
• Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives within FP&A to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with internal and external standardsSpecial Projects & Change Leadership
• Lead strategic initiatives such as M&A analysis, business model transformation, and enterprise cost optimization.
• Represent Finance in cross-functional steering committees and transformation programs.
• Assess and communicate the broader business impact of financial decisions and initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.
What you will need
Bachelor's Degree required
10+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
4-6 years of experience specific to the operational background and experience in industry i.e. field operations, supply chain, sales and solutions required
Breadth of business & financial acumen

Exceptional ability to think strategically
High level of individual accountability and the ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment
Strong level of emotional intelligence and executive presence; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to develop high performing teams

Ability to get creative and be innovated
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
Proficient in financial data visualization tools
Expert in ability to produce dynamic financial models
Expert in analytical ability and providing data insights
Proven experience with leveraging data from FP&A reporting to drive financial results
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and ensure cross-functional partnership

Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Safelite Home Office (7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235). You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
