A Brief Overview
This position will be part of the Supply Chain COE team who is responsible for building and establishing Safelite's long term Standard Operating Procedures and driving execution activities. The Program Manager is responsible for developing, analyzing, planning, and implementing supply chain solutions with the goal of improving efficiencies and reducing costs. Directs, plans, and manages distribution, logistics and IT projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budgets.
Specifically, the individual will be instrumental in building out business cases to support critical components of the Supply Chain COE, including mergers and acquisitions, analytics, finance and performance and supply chain program management. This role is dependent on integrating and working directly with key leaders in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, CX, and People functions.
The ideal candidate will lead and develop complex analysis for the group relative to their field of expertise: purchasing, proposal costing. Develops, implements, and manages operation and supply chain processes and solutions. Establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting. Drives demand and supply planning activities in conjunction with logistics and execution. Initial job will consist of managing finance and performance analytics.
What you will do
- Up to 50% travel required.
- Manages new product launches and product enhancements.
- Evaluate and optimize business processes through procedures and/or technology.
- Developing and/or delivering reports, presentations and/or recommendations to executive audiences
- Has a hand in defining roadmap based on business needs and effectively follows up with others while leading projects from idea to positive execution
- Creates and manages Proformas across multiple projects within the program portfolio. Delivers the program portfolio on-time and under budget.
- Monitors, appraises, and manages subordinate staff utilizing performance results.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- 4-6 years Experience working in supply chain management. Preferred
- 1-3 years Large program management. Preferred
- 1-3 years People leadership. Required
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent business acumen.
- Strong attention to detail (High proficiency)
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
