A Brief Overview
The Real Estate Designer will be responsible for creating compelling architectural designs of the highest quality from design programming, through design development through construction. This position collaborates with all levels and departments within Safelite, real estate & construction team, field leadership, IT, Branding, Supply Chain, vendors and suppliers. This position will manage multiple tasks concurrently, while meeting project deadlines and adhering to budget.
What you will do
- Lead the creation and presentation of schematic designs, development of Construction Document Master details and AutoCAD blocks, and the development/documentation of specific elements of construction projects. This includes but not limited to the design, presentation and development of Safelite store locations.
- Responsible for overseeing quality control for the review and redline vendor shop drawings and all construction drawings.
- Manage project digital files and information. Prepare presentations for active projects and for internal research and development. Incorporate applicable building codes and standards into projects
- Prepare design documents in various media, including architectural plans and 3D renderings. Assist in the streamlining of the architectural design process from conceptual design through overall completions of projects.
- Support design development of Safelite Branded elements including collaboration with in-house Real Estate, Design, Branding, Racking, Purchasing, and IT teams. Support team in management of design and purchasing vendors.

What you will need
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2-3 years’ experience required
- Retail design experience required
- Expert in AutoCAD required. Experience working with SketchUp, and Adobe creative suite required. Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
- Ability to complete new construction and remodel design from schematic phase onward with little oversight
- Experience with MS Office products

Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Safelite Home Office (7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235). You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite #LI-MH1
